Could this beat Steely dan for studio production I think so.

Mostly recorded in a garage, and assembled in a studio I believe.

Nice Summery bounce. Well crafted. Kinda reminds me of the cheerful side of The Style Council. Similar but different to his last one, which I also liked.

"Tubular Bells". The new 2009 remaster done by MO himself and relased as 2 cd and 1dvd package. To my ears it sounds better than I have ever heard it. Every instrument seems better delineated but without detracting from the overall piece. It really was an astonishing achievement.

I'm not sure but I may have been prompted to put this on the platter by the thread on jazz trumpet players. Anyway, this showcases an incredibly talented group of musicians playing with mind-blowing verve and skill and generally injecting life into a set of standards that one would not have thought possible before hearing this music. It's impossible to keep your feet (or any other part of your body) still while listening to this record. Highly Recommended.
