What a small world! I have had a really difficult day at work dealing with annoying customers and so I am trying to unwind also!

Gordon,

Perhaps it is your customers who should listen to Bjornstad/Darling. Who knows, they might even loose their annoying behavior.

From time to time I tend to focus an one album and just play it to death until I really understand it and know it. Over the years I have played this album to the point where it is just so wonderful to hear it because I know it, if that makes sense? I still get the biggest thrill from first plays of new music but it's like sinking into a favorite armchair or wearing a favorite sweater.

I often wonder how the hell had I never heard John Martyn's music before his death? Then I feel thankful that I heard it it all.

Even better than her last one with greater variety of styles. I just love her voice, so languid. Lovely album and very cool.

EDIT. Actually, make that Fantastic album!

This is loud, noisy and not without challenges. Reminiscent of the downtown New York jazz scene - Zorn and friends I played this whilst driving country West Sussex earlier today and really enjoyed it.

Led Bib - Sensible Shoes

From the Observer

Revolving around drummer Mark Holub, Led Bib are not a band to take home to meet your mother. They come roaring out of your iPod, give your eardrums a clattering and tread all over your furniture – and that's just on the first track. Rarely have two saxes, keyboards, bass and drums sounded so dangerous yet so compelling.

The easy end of the Zorn catalogue - very nice.

Playing the Black triangle pressing of Nursery Cryme Genesis. Will need to spend sometime comparing to other versions but initial reaction is that there is more tape hiss than Definitive Edition Remasters.
