Patty's unreleased album after being dropped by A&M. Got through Patty's website but no longer available.

This album is certainly appropriately named, as the music has an intensity and (almost spiritual) fervour that I have rarely heard before. Besides the passion, however, the solos brim with eloquence and all the musicians seem to be in top form and play in superb harmony with each other. This recording has also helped me to understand why Eric Dolphy enjoyed the reputation he did, as his playing is a huge contribution (IMO) to the success of the album - he was certainly an extremely creative and versatile talent. Definitely recommended.

Roberta Flack featuring Donny Hathaway.
One of my favorite male-female duos (and containing some of my favorite music from my teenager years)- was extremely pleased to pick up this LP in excellent condition last weekend for $1.99 and I can see (or hear?) that it will be spending quite a bit of time on the platter in the weeks and months ahead.

Agree, and if you like it it's well worth to explore his back catalogue.

I have Copper Head Road, Guitar Town,El Corazon and We Ain't Ever Satisfied, so will it sit well with them?

Yes it will, my only criticism would be that the mastering is a tat on the loud side for my taste, but still a great album.
