Any good - sounded a bit too much like more of the same thing from Bill so I didn't bite?
Currently, one of my all time faves:

I am enjoying and playing it more than some of his others. Had a lot of good reviews as well. He is a bit of an acquired taste.

Joe
I Flathead is part of a trilogy of albums including Chavez Ravine and My Name Is Buddy. Each tells a story, loosely based on fact or fanciful fiction. Musically they all differ slightly, but hang together individually thematically. Bop Till You Drop is a collection of songs based on a theme, but is not as coherent in my view, if that makes sense.
I also have a real soft spot for the work he did with Buena Vista Social Club, Ali Farke Toure and the sound track to Paris Texas.
Regards

Sounds better at volume without other family members around complaining.

Are there any albums that doesn't apply to?
How does it compare with other Ry Cooder albums? I got the Black Triangle "Bob 'til You Drop' the other week. Great album.
