Saw you talk about Still Live (Talking) introducing you to Jazz. "Belonging" did a similar effect to me, and I still get shivers down my spine, hearing it.

Have enjoyed this one for about three decades...

Now Voyager: The Classic Film Score of Max Steiner
1. Now, Voyager
2. King Kong
3. Saratoga Trunk
4. Charge of the Light Brigade
5. Four Wives
6. Big Sleep
7. Johnny Belinda
8. Since You Went Away
9. Informer
10. Fountainhead
'73 Release. RCA Red Seal Dynaflex.
Not the best sounding record, but I know every one of the film and remember well.
These scores well define the Warner Brother's style of the era.
Particularly the Piano Concerto from the "Four Wives" is my favourite.
it's kind of cool that without actually watching the film, I can *see* the film through the music.

Its also one of the all time classic album covers.

That is a good one, and luckily it's on the shelf right next to "Modern Music". I'm working my way up through "Red Noise" and the later ambient stuff like "Das Kabinet" (which I only have on vinyl).

Rachmaninov Piano Concertos again.
This time by Ashkenazy.
'86 Release. UK Decca Digital recording. Stereo.
sounds more polished and modern, but I prefer the schmultz of Rainer/Rubenstein rendition better.

Miles & Monk: At Newport
'63 Release. The original US Columbia 2 eyes. Stereo.

So what do you think? It's my favorite new AF so far.

Love both the doors discs. But since I like Morrison better as an album I plump for that one. But they are both excellent sounding discs just a shame about the "boob" in the manufatcure of the Morrison disc.

As a subscriber not a biggie, will get a new (corrected) one included in my next shipment.

Previously, I thought this record was a bit lacklastre.
What a transformation with SCed SL. Red Face
It's sorting stuff out.

On HDX

Sounds good. Quite dark and layered with lots of nice noises which I like.
