I'm listening to 'Joan of Arc' from each album and I'm grinning from ear to ear. Such a wonderful song.

The live version on the 20th anniversary edition of FBR has become on of my favorites. Which there was a version on the new live Cohen.

Hi Oliver,

For sure! I'm glad I saw this posted on the forum, otherwise I would have missed out.

Charles Mingus & The Jazz Workshop All Stars, The Complete Birdland Broadcasts, Symphony Sid Show - WADO (1280), 1961-1962 Birdland New York, NY.

Phuse 'Mingus Lingers' (2008) Jazz, fusion, electronica, Discovered this while looking for cover art for the above. Interesting on first listen, there is a bit of a Massive Attack (laid back tracks) feel.
Edit - after a few tracks I am finding it a bit too easy listening, some nice playing, but does not have the force of playing that I find in Mingus, I will stick to the one who inspired it.

Adrian & Doug,

I certainly like this Fellner as much as I did his First Clavier Book of Bach. Some people had issues with the piano sound of the first disc but I found it just fine.
I definetly recommend both discs.

Regards,
Haim

You will like these also if you haven't heard them yet. Excellent acoustic from RL. At present, he and junior Kimbrough are getting plenty of air time! Cool
