After my first listen, I would say this is a CD to relax with at the end of a hard day. It's a bit hard to categorise with Judy's warm voice emphasising a 1968 innocence and current musicians mixing both straight & full range of modern musical references. Here's an interesting article about how Judy arrived at making this CD. With all the complex and melancholic music I own, this is a welcome antidote. I'll do a review of the gig elseware.

CD copy @ 2003

All my Yello albums are on vinyl, with the exception of this one...
I don't think The Eye has ever been released on vinyl (?)
...but i'm sure it would sell well if they did! : )

That was why I was listening to it earlier to try and understand how I might feel listening to it in mono. I am not the biggest Beatles fan by a long stretch but I seem to be getting brainwashed into thinking I should be owning both mono and stereo sets Roll Eyes

Exactly, the stereo imaging is so 100% channelled on some tracks it does feel contrived. Cannot help wanting to hear both versions with more definition.

I would go for the mono.
The stereo discs will be around for a long long time on there own.
Stu

Thanks Stu - defintely seems like the mono is going to be rare. I think I'll get both though as I got the stereo on order at £134 which is a good price now. I'll get the mono (keep them wrapped) and listen to MilesSmiles boxset first and then decide whether to keep or shift.
