I am, thanks I'll check it out.

This is the weird album for me, familiar songs without the familiar arrangement. This is the album where a jaded Dylan realised that he could do the songs any way he wanted. Interesting but not his best work.

Thanks Stu - I'll post a couple of pics in the "Show Us Your Listening Room" thread, but it will be a while before it is finished yet!

Different walk today Stu through woodland a few miles from here. We let our younger dog off the lead again today and again he went "walkabout" (well he is Aussie). Took us ages to get him back as he disappeared off through private farmland but he had a lot of fun.

White one.

I bought this PT album a few years ago off ebay and got stitched as someone sent me a bootleg.

Gave bootleg to my boys yesterday and it has been blasting out round the house most of the day.

I'd forgotten how good this album is.

but I don't think I can bear to detract from the memory of that original Hot August Night when Mr Diamond recorded one of the greatest live performances ever. Regular members will know how highly I regard that original concert. I'm not ready to let a new concert in, not yet.

Rather superb and if you are thinking of buying it, well do. It is rather a large scale work to digest. Read the reviews on amazon.com

http://www.amazon.com/Sun-Bear...id=1251736518&sr=8-1

Hi Voltaire, Sun Bear is a great set, that I can recommend without reservation. I bought my copy last year in Koln Winker

Adrian - nope, don't have Personal Mountains. However, I'm slowly building up my Jarrett collection, and the European Quartet is under-represented, so thanks for the steer. Of the solo piano albums, I'm very tempted to buy "Radiance" next; how do you rate that?

Seth Lakeman - Kitty Jay

This place is really annoying, I had decided on my next listen and someone posts a record I haven't heard for ages and I want to change my mind.

David, I Love Rush, I think Geddy's voice makes them, mind you they are superb as instrumentalists as well.

So...play me!

Oh Dear!

This not a patch on the orginal concert at The Greek Theatre. If you are not a Neil Diamond fan, do not buy this cd/dvd, even if you are, don't! Over dubbed, over produced and over mixed to give the audience too much importance. In the orginal concert Diamond allowed his voice to become a whisper, to hint, to suggest at the power and emotion his voice contained and was capable of; here, to disguise the lack of range which age has cursued him with he shouts, and the engineer wildy overdubs to compensate.

He is still capable of superb emotion (listen to his work with Rick Rubin) but this is not his finest moment though it breaks my heart to say so.

Confused
