Must say I greatly prefer the CD remaster issues from the mid 90's, although 'Physical Graffiti' and 'Presence' do sound good on vinyl. Those two were Page's best recordings, the others are pretty muddy and the CD remasters did clear them up a bit (in my opinion). I gather the recent re-issues are badly compressed for the 'MP3 generation'.

Have gone quite electro myself the last day:

Jean Michel Jarre 'Amsterdam 2008', Tangerine Dream Tree Vol 87 Budapest 82, and Royal Albert hall 1975 from Bootleg Box Volume 1.

Its my most played set of TG.
The Blue set is very good also, but not quite as good.

Have you seen the price they are selling for now?
Stu

Some people do seem at have a sense of humour regarding the prices they ask, especially considering that the box sets are an official repackaging of shows that were freely distributed among fans (with the permission of Edagr Froese).

Blue Box (vol 2) £100 plus on Amazon, Orange Box (vol 1) £35- 165 on Amazon, and £100 on Ebay, nearly all used copies.

I am intrigued by Charlie Brooker's Newswipe on BBC4 using Tangerine Dream from the 70s for big chunks of the soundtrack.

On the balck stuff, first time in years, usually listen to the live Suppers ready instead. Intrigued by Munch using this as a standard test bed for system assessment. Will find out now.

Yes, limited at the moment by size of room. Happy for many reasons living where I am but with my wife itching to move, I have a pair of NBLS ready to install as a part of my next upgrade ie room! Smile

I hope you have the other 250 or two to power them with?
One of the best speakers ever made.
Stu

I have plans on a 500.I have listened with the 250 temporarily and was happy to live with that as a stop gap measure.

Good to hear this again, particularly enjoyed "Get 'Em Out by Friday"

Now listening to

Sounding far more dynamic, also on the black stuff. I guess having only seen the Phil Collins version of Genesis I relate more readily to those albums. At least the earlier ones. Really like Selling England by the Pound however.

By the way Bass on Entangled nearly shaking the room via Celestions!

I would say it is my favorite so far, possibly because the arrangments are a little more tradational whilst retaining the E.S.T vibe.

A little Brazilian samba on a lovely Spring day after a fabulous lunch.

Long time since I had Deep fried Ice Cream.

Hall and Oates fest. One of the best bands I ever saw live in the 70's. Borrowed from a friend
