Now, listening to M.M. myself. I find this one less challenging than "Dolmen Music". And much better recorded than the 1981 (?) debut (?). A pleasure (more an intellecutal one, though…)

Greta after today's MTB ride through wind and rain.

cheers

This one's never out of the player at the moment, think I'll have to get the vinyl.

I highly recommend the MOFI vinyl.

I take offence to people putting temptation in front of me I'm skint because of those lousy bankers and you recommend an expensive record of one of my favorite artists how insensitive. I'll just have to stick to my lowly HDCD version. Winker

Extraordinary how much discovering (being introduced too) ECM has opened up my world.

I admit that 'Dolmen Music' & 'Turtle Dreams' leave me a bit frazzled, but I enjoy 'Book of Days', perhaps because there are more musicians on this album and so MM is diluted and thus less Eek ?

Title track '24 hours'

Forget eveything you think you know about Tom Jones and just enjoy this extraordinary track. I have said it before and I will say it again, this track does to Tom Jones's legacy what 'Hurt' did to Johnny Cash's!

Track 14. The End ( Recorded Live At Madison Square Garden, New York, 1970 )

Cool

It's not un-surprisingly Rush like in places, he does some different arrangements and rhythms. I quite like it ,but I only paid a couple of ponds for it, I don't think I'd recommend spending a lot on it. I don't think a general Rush fan would be offended by it.
It's bit difficult to "hide" his voice, so he will always be a bit Rush like.

Thanks for that! I'll keep an eye on the bargain bins.

Cheers

Gordon,

It is that simple; if you enjoy Epigraphs you will really like this one:

An it is an ECM as well.

Now playing...thank you for the recommendation Haim

What an interesting album cover, so reminscent of the working class favorite Lowry, except that in this piece the shadow is more important than the object?

PS- I had translated this as 'The path of the black cat' but having looked on amazon I humbly correct myself to 'The black cat's footsteps'
