Jeff, Here is your namesake laying down the groove to Rosanna. Sadly missed, one of the greats dying in strange circumstances.

Of that there is no doubt. As we spoke about earlier, just a fine fine album. Somebody take me back to Giants Stadium in '89.

Barbara Streisand

An amazing album back in my collection after 20 years. Vile, disgusting maybe, but it just made the hair stand-up on the back of my neck .... go figure.

The musicianship/ensemble playing on this album is second to none. My namesakes brother is pretty good, too and Lukather ... well, geez ...

An absolute classic I am pleased to have back in the collection.

Jeff, I think i'll add it to mine. BTW, here's some fabulous bernard purdie 16th note Shuffle. This man is pure entertainment Smile

The record that SHOCKED the Jazz fraternity in 1972 with lines such as "repetitious boredom" "nameless faceless go-go music" and "I'd like to think that nobody could be so easily pleased as to dig this record to any extent" ouch! So a big thank you to Miles for releasing it. Smile

Hi Howard,

What's your take on this album?

I found it to be quiet good, but not v/good and god know's how A "Boogied Up" cover of an Elvis Presley love song - " Can't Help Falling In Love With You" got to be on this album?

Especialy the last track on side 2 - a real "Iron Fist In A Velvet Glove" moment - simply awsome.

Bought quite a few new releases this week. Bottom of the pile is David Sylvian - Manafon - tosh. PT is a grower (I hope), Prefab Sprout is excellent and Muse not properly played yet. I have high hopes for this new live ECM double album from the Jan Garbarek Group

Because Lontano reminded me it had been a while. I've even turned the volume up! Big Grin

Another new release on ECM. The others albums I have of this trio are outstanding, so let's hope this is as well.

There's loud, there's really loud, and then comes "Lontano Loud" (TM)

Anyway, now onto the black stuff, and
