The best of Jethro Tull. On vinyl (cannot find a picture).
I'm not very familiar with Jethro Tull, an oversight I am attempting to correct.

One of my fave albums this year recommended by Gordon.

Much better than some of his other albums.

I'm not that impressed with the new effort from Muse, about 3 good tracks and the rest is all over the place.

I have so much respect for Judy Collins and her albums. My favorite (if forced to choose) is 'Sanity & Grace'; but this album has a magnetism about it, pulling me deep into Cohen's lyrics. Her version of 'Joan of Arc' is woefully inadequate but her rendition of 'Blue Raincoat' is worthy of a listen.

A superb album imho and I'm glad you are enjoying it my friend.

Tracks 6 & 11 still make me shiver with emotion.

The smoky baritone of lead vocalist Stuart Staples is captivating.

I still rate 'Dying Slowly' from 'Can our love' as their best track (possibly because I empathise with the lyric).

2nd place imho is 'My oblivion' from 'Waiting for the moon'

I'll join you in listening to the man who sings like a dying man. Stuart Staples is sublime.

For sure!

Closest voice to Staples I ever heard was Tim Buckely which is weird becaue Buckley was multi-octave and Staple isn't? Listen too 'Song To The Siren'

Played this on the way home stuck in a traffic jam!
There is some good stuff on this ,[,but it seems like I have heard all the best bits before from PT.

I see Tindersticks are playing Dec 16 at Union Chapel London but sold out. I am going to have to try and track down some tickets.

This is a very good re release. A compilation of tracks from three ECM albums from the seventies no longer available.
