My 10 year old son is playing his new album on repeat. Broadcasting loudly from his bedroom.

FOR THE THIRD TIME? TURN IT DOWN NOW. Winker

Big Grin So far it seems to be a one track album - keeps repeating the same song over and over....Last night he was playing Abbey Road and he must have played Something at least 10 times. Great to watch the young man finding his musical feet.

Mono - Under the Pipal Tree

Fantastic recording - BUT - if you have the volume set to be able to hear the opening the Dies Irae is likely to demolish your house!

Started the evening with a couple of "bottom of the pile" CDs:

House of Love, Days Run Away (indeed!)

Had forgotten this one, but when I saw it, it reminded me that I liked it when I bought it, and I still do.

It cannot rival the "butterfly" which was one of my favorite albums of the time, but it's very nice in a more laid back mood.

Then:

Gong, Acid Motherhood

(How do you find this cover Adrian ? Big Grin There even are alternative versions of it, if you fancy...!)

Weeeeell, well... Again I remember liking it very much when I bought it, but tonight... sorry, not tonight.

(Makes me think that I should buy Camembert Electrique again on CD, or a turntable for that matter! And Angel Egg, and Flying Teapot, and ...)

Nymph - looking at the box sets you have....I wonder if we frequent the same 'supplier'?

Is it just me, or is this loads better than this year's follow up?

Tommy Chase Quartet 'Groove Merchant', one of my favourite jazz (hard bop) albums.

This overlooked little gem, thanks to RichardM:

Neutral Milk Hotel, In the Aeroplane Over the Sea

Folk/lo-fi on an acid trip with fanfare, or something.

I know what you mean but it is still high quality. I thought twice about buying it as his albums can be samey but I am enjoying this one more than the others and playing it a lot.
