Is this the LP12 that's in your profile ?
Thanks. Yes it is. Gone for a cherry LP12 with Akito, Stageline and Dynavector 20XL. I have put this into my music room with the Nait 5i and Motives. Sounds great. Over time I will see where I want to take it and how far I upgrade, but for now I am going to spend time just enjoying the vinyl.

Thanks! Even my wife has been gazing lovingly at the Linn this evening and came and had a listen with me. She has said it is the nicest toy I have. I look forward to the journey

Try and get a vinyl copy if you can find one?
I can sort you a cd.
Stu
Ok - ta. I have found two good second hand vinyl shops in Guildford so will stop by sometime this week and search it out.
Would it be too much to ask where abouts in Guildford?!

No problem - Ben's Collector Records - loads of stock £1/£2 a go http://www.bensrecords.com/ - 5 Tunsgate - opposite Heals. Ben is also organising a record fair this Saturday 3/10 at the Guildford Guildhall so think I'll attend that.
The other one is Collectors Records 89 Woodbridge Road, opposite the bus station. Had a good selection of stuff. More £4 upwards but a good choice of titles that attracted me.
Cheers

Thanks very much for the info. I will have to try and get to the record fair as well!
Many thanks...

Congratulations Adrian - you finally got there. It will be good to hear some vinyl again when I stop over.

Just found this classic post-punk album on the Web - a unique sound, bringing back great memories of exploring new musical worlds.

Is it still there? I had heard it had closed and only Bens was left.

Whats that like???
Stu
Stu,
I have the first four John Foxx albums, this was his second. Personally I prefer his debut "Metamatic", but whereas that was quite stark there was a change in musical direction here as the sound became fuller and more rounded. It is an excellent album by an underrated artist - perhaps he was dismissed as just another of those synth/new romantic types of the early '80's? I would say there's more to him than that.
I missed an opportunity to see him live in Manchester a year or two ago, which I think I would have enjoyed - even for old times sake. I have kept an eye out but not seen any tour dates for him since.

Debs,
Never heard Kurt Masur's symphonies, I imagine they're very good. How do they compare to other Beethoven symphonies you have heard?
