The first music I ever 'owned' were two cassette of the Beatles red and blue compilation albums that the son of a friend of my mother did for me when I got my first cassette play (you know, oblong job with handle and condenser mic) for 9th b/day.
For 'old time's sake' last year I bought said albums (vinyl of course!) for about £2 each on fleabay. Mint! Cleaned them but didn't get round to listening to them...
Have just listened to this, all the old faves, but also including one or two that I haven't heard since that original tape stretched beyond use...!
Wow! Simply amazing! They really are amazing songs. (And can a 'remaster' really be any better?)
