Gordon, what do you think? I heard it the other day and cancelled my order - J-B's voice is shocking! Maybe it's a slow burner?
I thought it was my cheap hifi! I have it on appro from my dealer but I don't think I will play it enough to buy it. Plenty of albums I would rather spend my hard earned on.
I also think the new Newton Faulkner is crap. Save your money people.

“in terms of aristocratic poise he matches even Michelangeli. Sudbin grips the listener with an almost Petrovian magnetism. This is staggering playing, so spontaneously alive that one can scarcely belive it was taped in the studio. In the wrong hands a little Scarlatti can go a long way, but when played like this one can easily imagine sitting through all 555 sonatas."
Highly recommended.

Good morning Haim,
I have taken another recommendation of yours and have The Syrian Bride dvd to watch this morning.
I'll comment later over at HT.
Have a nice fall Sunday. Drizzle here today but a glorious fall week predicted ahead, low 70's and dry.
best regards

Good morning, Jeff.
After three days of constant rain the sun is finally breaking out here and despite the cool wind I plan to spend a big chunk of the Sunday outdoors.
I hope that you will enjoy The Syrian Bride too. I thought that it would be a special interest to Flame who has just visited Syria.
Regard and enjoy your Sunday,
Haim
