Stu start with Stones in the Road and see if you like that. Personally I am a big fan.

The Essential ... Mary Chapin Carpenter is the most stupid title for a single CD set since CDs were first issued. Such a title would need to at least a 10 CD set IMHO.

Come On Come On is my favourite, but she is stunning in everything she does.

Rabih Abou-Khalil, The Sultan's Picnic

An easy one to begin exploring his work IMO. Features an harmonica player.

On CD:-

A superb and moving album, she is a great story teller, with great finesse and lyrics.

Mr Seagull (plus assorted 'flock')
I am simply anti insects! yep the Crane Wife is different, and I feel superior, to this offering...(the introduction was via a 'Critical Thinking'colleague).

I'll pop it round....trust all is well with the brood.

As for everyone else... I am going to have to be up for days to play stuff you have that I own.

Naim Nymph - too many boxes to work through.....

and as for CTA...from an era where they were really good...back to the music!! Fatima Sparks
