Sorry to quote myself, but I forgot to mention one thing: not the least quality of this album was to bring Lisa Germano into the spotlight.

If it says anything, MoFi re-released it in the 90's. One can not like what they do, but they rarely pick bad albums. This one is really great IMHO.

This and Scarecrow 2 of the best US heartland albums ever.

Don't pick up Scarecrow on MOFI as it is a different mix than the original release and is not regarded well by many. Me included.

Another excellent album from Tord. By the way he also has a female singer on this one.

The best sounding version of Scarecrow in my IMHO is the original Riva US or WG pressing. The only thing is that the album is a fraction bass shy.

I have the following versions

MOFI
Japanese 1st
WG 1st
SHM- latest mastering.

I'm a big fan if that was available on vinyl.. Used to have in our family when I was growing up the 45 of 2 little boys with Animal Pop Party on the flipside and Tie my Kangeroo Down.. Which just like the Abba stuff are lyrically very very sophisticated; interesting, and fundamentally about being human. Although can be panned pretty easily by the less-thinking...
