The more I listen to it the more I like those four paths of melancholia.
Highly recommended to the patient listener.

Here's a great song to sing along too and it's not the one you thought it would be
I'm a big fan if that was available on vinyl.. Used to have in our family when I was growing up the 45 of 2 little boys with Animal Pop Party on the flipside and Tie my Kangeroo Down.. Which just like the Abba stuff are lyrically very very sophisticated; interesting, and fundamentally about being human. Although can be panned pretty easily by the less-thinking...
Funny you both brought up Rolf as I am about to start work on something today using his specially designed artwork for a major Charity.

To be honest Steve it was your user name that inspired me. First saw them during their Pics of Matchstick Men period. Then at one short point in time sold merchandise for them at concerts.

Just recently re-acquired on the black stuff - you know hadn't heard this for about 25 years.

Just played the CD of - King Crimson - Red (40th Anniversary Edition)
CD: Features the original album, plus three extra tracks (stunning pre-overdub trio versions of Red & Fallen Angel and the full version of Providence).
The extra track Trio versions of Red & Fallen Angel are absolutely brutal and should be played at nose bleed levels. It's like hearing the band for the first time and boy do I wish I'd seen them in 74.

Justin and Friends Live is also very good.
Anybody have any recommendations by the New Model Army ?

The Bench Connection - "Around the House in 80 days". One of the most ignored and best mellow acoustic albums of the last decade. Beautifully recorded, as is all of Matt Deighton's stuff. Highly recommended for those who like N. Drake, John Martin, Chris Wood, and, indeed Alison Krauss, Joni Mitchell, Vashti Bunyan etc. Good Friday night, kick off the shoes, open a good bottle of red wine, light the fire, turn off the lights kind of music.

This harpsichord music is excellent. The picture of the disc reminds me of a general's uniform with all its medals and campaign ribbons.

Wasn't quite sure about this as I wasn't that comfortable with the aggressive way the bow seemed to hit the strings, but it is a grower

Incredibly precise playing and yet captures the Russian soul of this music - thanks Haim

I never really rated DeJohnette until this album...

Now there's a co-incidence Stu, I've just put this on the P3
I'm not a Genesis fan at all really but I do love this album.
