... I am not sure though that we need to look at eight large pictures of Julia Fischer posing stiffly at the PaLais Auersperg, Vienna in the booklet.
I agree. It would be better if she was posing in a more relaxed manner.
.
There are some silly pictures of her posing in front of mirrors which reminded me the way that Diana Krall is being portrayed. I would rather have more information about the music and the performance.

A sweet feminine voice to go with the masculine wind and all the flying leaves outside.

Spending some time getting reacquainted with a young(er) András Schiff again. This was recorded at Kingsway Hall, London, England in September 1983. What is very intriguing to me is having the opportunity to "grow up," so to speak, with the current performers/musicians (of my age or so) and seeing the changes in them (as well as with me). It is nice to be able to have recordings of the same artists as a young, spry, or carefree, devil may care in nature spiced with a with a certain amount of cockiness and then compare this with playing full of maturity, confidence, and wisdom gained through life of 30 or 40 years on.
This recording is actually quite good. I can't wait to see what his views are on this today....
Johann Sebastian Bach: András Schiff (Piano)
1. Partita for Keyboard no 5 in G major, BWV 829
2. Partita for Keyboard no 6 in E minor, BWV 830
3. Partita for Keyboard no 1 in B flat major, BWV 825
4. Partita for Keyboard no 2 in C minor, BWV 826
5. Partita for Keyboard no 3 in A minor, BWV 827
6. Partita for Keyboard no 4 in D major, BWV 828

Hi Maurice
Only one listen so far and I liked it very much.
If you haven't, you should try The Temper Trap "Conditions" that Stu (munch) has been recommending.

Heh heh.
H, it's a cool video for a sweet song. Just contains one of Miles Davis' favourite words, that's all. And the finest bmx riding since ET, of course.
