Thank you for posting Scott 4, it will make for a great start to my listening day.

Not listened to this in years. Really liked this guy in early 90's and saw him play some great jazz fusion gigs.

He went on to become a monk for a while and then resurfaced playing in Sting's Live band.

from their website:

Hiatus/Sabbatical/Pause/Intermission/Breather

Dear All,

As we recently made #51 with Emperor Tomato Ketchup in the Amazon 100 Greatest Indie Rock Albums of all Time we feel that our work is done for the moment.

We have had to cancel the last two shows that we were scheduled to play, apologies to all that had bought tickets, and there are no plans to record new tracks.

Duophonic are working on the release of Chemical Chords 2, we also have plans for a new Switched On and remastering of the back catalogue.

We are are all going to have a bit of a rest now after nearly 19 years and work on a few other projects.

The website will still be updated and disks released but there won't be any new Stereolab product for a while.

Cheerio

Keith Urban "Defying Gravity". I am a fan. To me KU is to country/pop what John Mayer is to pop/rock/blues. Excellent songwriter and an accomplished guitar player, which isn't always obvious in his short studio cuts where he is just playing fills. Try KU's contribution to the dvd "Musicares Tribute to James Taylor" or KU's dvd "Live Right Now".

Interesting, my local charity shop has a stack of George Benson albums in great condition ans I was wondering wether to take the plunge.

voltaire,

I don't really much care for his recent releases (too smooth jazz ), but his older catalogue is interesting.
His live album is usually pretty good.

big boss Band caught my eyes and thought it might be something to my liking. Since I like the Count Basie Orchestra.

Finding a good condition used records are always a luck of draw, but if they are cheap enough, why not give it a try?

Long player...Sat or Sun mornings it's generally a wake up with John Martn, Nick Drake or Gerry (we're quite liberal round here)
