The 24 Bit digital re-mastering could be worse with 'loudness' but still leaves a lot to be desired.
A great album though.

…leaves me desiring this on vinyl! : )

The better half is at a craft fair. The SuperNait is cranked up just a touch. This is sounding mighty fine.

Enjoying this, now.

(Haim, that "Paris, Texas" is very cool. I haven't heard it for ages. I also really like "Jazz".)

Now this.

Inspired by an earlier post. Some might dismiss this record as new-age muzak, but that is doing it a great disservice. Hedges, was a genius. Not just a technical virtuoso, but a very fine musician as well. Try to listen to ATGR without feeling something. I dare ya!

Agreed. I think the comparisons to scattershot albums like The White Album are fair, but compared to that the highs aren't quite so high and the lows aren't nearly so low. I don't have any fear of putting it on, which some of the reviews sort of suggested might happen.

While I'd say not as good as its predecessors it's still a good album and no regrest spending the money.

Pete.
