Johann Sebastian Bach: Masaaki Suzuki with the Bach Collegium Japan

From Volume 7:
Nun komm, der Heiden Heiland, BWV 61
Christen, ätzet diesen Tag, BWV 63
Bereitet die Wege, bereitet die Bahn!, BWV 132
Erschallet, ihr Lieder, erklinget ihr Saiten!, BWV 172

About three or four months ago I started collecting the Masaaki Suzuki set for the Passions and all the Canatatas recorded to date. For years I had put this off but I'm certainly glad I have these now. I have many other sets which I enjoy as well but I find that Suzuki is so genuine about what he doing that you feel you are at a service with him. Most other sets seem to sound more like performances instead of music with a purpose.

Bought this new piece of vinyl few months back - first play -some very good tracks on this LP such as Butterflies & Hurricanes, and Thoughts of a Dying Aethiest - play it loud.

Followed by the captivating voice of Anthony (I am a Bird Now):

Ssssshh. Didn't know they made albums as Coldplay before "Parachutes" Red Face
Thought they called themselves Silverstar or something like that and I never came around to look for their earlier work, so thanks; will have a listen if I can find them!
