quote:Doug,
I know that you are usually in D minor but do you ever listen to any nonclassical music?
Haim
You mean their is other music out there ?
Actually, when I get a chance over Christmas I planned on doing a search of your posts and the likes of Stephen or Lontano etc. to try and glean some knowledge of where to start with some other interesting music that is available. I've listened to a lot of other music over the years and nothing else really engages me for long anymore (especially outside of jazz). I never tire though of the endless possibility available to me through Western Art Music though. When I don't listen to it, I practice and play it on the piano or cello....
Probably no hope for me anymore

Oh, I am sure that we can find you something on Craig's List... Just let us know when you are starting your search.
By the way, Tharaud's Ravel is just outstanding. I have a feeling that Hewitt's disc is going to collect serious dust around here.

Thank you Oliver. I've already got their first album - great! - and I'm looking forward the correct reboot of the Dixie CD release by MoFi.
Have a nice day.

LOVE and MONEY - Strange Kind Of Love
Produced by Gary Katz, James Grant's voice sounds sublime. Guests include Jeff Pocaro and Rick Derringer. Any Dan Heads have this or Dogs in the Traffic?

Funny how the encores from three separate concerts make such a fine album when brought together.

A tremendous set of performances both technically and in their emotional range. Who could not be moved by the second movement of Sonata 20 D959.
