Don't know that one.. but anything on the LSO live label is usually top notch (do you recommend?)... The Beethoven cycle under Haitink and Sibelius under Davis are also particularly good. Seem to remember having heard Davislim singing in Australia a few years back. T

More than happy to recommend it - it is a powerful piece made more so by the dynamics of it being a live performance.

Thanks FlyMe.

Last one before dodo. This a rather interesting set of compositions. By turns sublime and disturbing, exhilarating and downright chaotic. In fact - elemental. Gramophone September 2004 has a review and accorded it one of their Choices.

I still can't see it.
Looks more like the count down on the Predators arm panel.

Whilst waiting to be connected to the box office of a theatre yesterday, I had to listen to one of the most dreadful songs I have ever heard 'Any Dream Will Do'.

Apparently written by Andrew Lloyd Webber, I am not sure who was responsible for the vocal on it.

It is a very long time since I have heard a piece of music that bad. It kind of puts into perspective the little 'jousting' that has taken place on a couple of threads about two different types of music much loved by different members of this forum, both of which have infinitely more value than that.
