This one lives up to its promise I thought...

PS: one should always try to either a) say something interesting when posting or b) make a bad pun. Here's to "b".

Yes, I liked this one a lot. Need to play it again sometime.

I have been asked to put on some sloppy, sentimental Christmas music. It is certainly a good recording and sounds rather nice (until he duets with the Muppets).

Spanish Sketches....Well that's got me going..I really need to devote a bit more time to the big box set bought a few weeks back. And by the way I do encourage anyone in the Paris area to check out the Miles Davis exhibition at the Cite de la Musique. An admirable retrospective...on till January. Tim

Wonder if anyone else has even heard (of) this:

Lots of lutes and swirling keyboards and more than a bit damsel-in-distressy, but rather pleasant. Guitarist called Francis Lickerish.

I just played the Joe Walsh album for Adrian the other day, think it is one of the best in this series sonically.

Yes, although only at the beginning I think. Still sounds that way too. Frankly the record - to my taste - could lose the singing and the lutes and sound better. Very folky-medieval-prog, but lovingly done if you're into that sort of thing.

Yes, the only one that did not impress me too much was the 'Pretenders'.

Mark,

I've not heard this one, I assume you would recommend it? We need to sort out our listening sessions as well.

Regards
