TCHAIKOVSKY/ROMEO & JULIET/STRAUSS/TILL EULENSPIEGEL/CHARLES MUNCH-BOSTON SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA *XRCD2*

"These remarkable recordings, recorded by the team of Max Wilcox and Lewis Layton in 1961 at Boston's Symphony Hall, are truly of demonstration quality. Tchaikovsky's love theme of Romeo and Juliet is universally recognized as one of the greatest melodies ever written. The tone poem Till Eulenspiegel contains some of Richard Strauss' most brilliant orchestrations and has never before been released on CD. Charles Munch conducts the BSO to perfection."

Couldn't agree more.

BERLIOZ/SYMPHONY FANTASTIQUE/MUNCH/BOSTON SYM ORC (HYBRID SACD)

"His overwhelming natural affinity for French music made Charles Munch an ideal conductor for Berlioz's swirling tour de force Symphonie Fantastique. Perfectly capturing the drama, romance and philosophical angst in which this masterpiece is marinated, Munch takes the Boston Symphony Orchestra on an epic journey of proportions only possible in the human heart and mind. A classic, reborn in vivid Living Stereo."

Bill Deasy "Being Normal"

Bill rarely leaves Pennsylvania, rather electing to just keep cranking-out great heartland folk-rock.

Bought after listening to short samples, and I think it is pretty good. Unusual but interesting, would be my sum up.

Bonus track 7+ mins in track 9 BTW.
