I didn't know that my friend.

I am always nervous and wary of people who have two or more creative outlets; movie stars who sing, singers who write, writers who paint, etc. I know that truly creative types might look for multiple creative outlets because they think that their creativity is boundless (and that's fine in private) but I am old school and I don't believe that anyone can serve two masters in public. Creativity is the most easily dilutable substance known to man and should never (imho) be spread thinly.

I know there are exceptions and I will take each offering on merit but in general... Eek

If the Gods give you a talent you might not want to spit in their face by trying to do something different?

Well, it worked on the Scarlett Johansson/Pete Yorn release this year Smile Seriously.

I understand what you are saying but in this case, at least, it is all under the umbrella of writing (Willy and Bill are the only songwriters in their respective bands, and Willy in particular uses a rather narrative style in his songs).

I'll defer to your judgement/experience in this particular area.

Have a nice Holidays, Gordon.

Jeff, I will happily investigate and, as I said, there are exceptions.

PS - I'm sure that Nosferato listed that defering to my judgement was the beginning of the end...

Holiday blessings to you and yours.

At the end of the evening, do authors at book-reading/signings go home with the cute gender-of-choice in the front row ?

Perhaps there is room for rock-stardom in there somewhere ...... just kidding.

I never had to worry, I missed the talent hand-out seminar.

Picked up an original mono copy a couple of weeks ago, would this music get in the charts now?
