Why? Beautiful and captivating music, beautifully recorded. I know we say it a lot, but 'stunning'.

Amongst the several jewels of contemporary West African music you will find a fantastic version of 'The Man I Love'. When you're used to the seminal versions by Billie Holliday and Django Reinhardt & Stephane Grappelli, there's a lot to measure up to. You won't be disappointed.

Stunning is the right word, one of my favorite recordings.

Willkommen Collective on their MySpace. Listening after booking the gig with Sweet Billy Pilgrim (12 June). On this evidence the Union Chapel venue should provide the perfect setting for both bands.

Got about 10 different SHM CDs today from CD Japan. Will write up my thoughts a little later on the SHM thread.

Have to say that I love this album also. Does any body know if any other of their albums reach the quality of Hooverphonic?
