What are you listening to and WHY might anyone be interested? (VOL V)

I have been thinking about my albums of the year (not nearly as nerdy as it sounds) and I wanted to remind myself how good this album is before I laminate the list (every bit as nerdy as it sounds ).



Forget the last two albums. This is Joss Stone's 2nd album...which is not to say that it is Soul Sessions II.

A lot of things have been said about Joss Stone but when she sings...wow!

My dad is in charge of the evening program (with a little gentle guidance from me).

Oliver - Rene Jacobs has done quite a few Mozart Operas on HM and they are all fantastic.

Lots of great music on here today. We have been out for a very pleasant lunch and done all the family "rounds". Now time to sit and chill for the night.

Disc 1, "For Living", of this triple CD. I would say that "Everything She Wants" is in my top 5 songs of all time.

We had some snow this morning but it stopped by 10am. All the main roads are clear so they shouldn't have any problems.

Amazing album. Each time I return to this album a different track stands out. Right now its 'Mother Dear'

Not enjoying the Billie Holiday, so some Alison Krauss on MOFI vinyl.


This pressing has a fair amount of background noise in the quiet bits, which is a shame, but I do not think I have heard a better quality of recording on almost any music/format, and I am only using a stageline here.
