Checking out on Spotify. Sounds classy from my laptop, Tom Waits guesting!

SACD
Just played this one yesterday. Having all the Blue Notes, many of them again on VDJ and now I have to get them as well on AP - this is what chasing the best version does to you and your bank account.

Most enjoyable , one of the best exponents of "folk-rock".

Used to have all the Victoria Spivey albums. Truly great artist but cleared them out a couple of years ago to make way for new music.

cd box set, sounding clear and well recorded set, can¬t believe this is 50 + year old recordings. As they say, sounds like He is in the room.

One of my most spun discs of the last months. Musically not challenging, at all, it has an almost curing effect on stress. Worth every second.
cheers

I think the saving grace is that the record sounds pretty good. I still cant' get on with that mega hit ' holding back the years'.
