Why?, superb post credit crunch, swaggering, cock rock, life affirming, intelligent, emotive, feel good, touchstone music.

Why? because you might just understand what Liz Fraser is singing for once or for it being a beautiful piece of breathy ethereal pop.

Big up, dude. Quite simply one of my all-time favourites. Well, one of my all-time favourite bands, that not many people "get". No-one will ever understand what Liz is going on about, but it doesn't really matter. I love the Cocteau Twins. Everything they ever did.

Very good choice.
Love them, have you seen them live?
I have down here.

I had a chance to see them in Warrington, circa 90 I think, and never went. Still regretting it now.

Because it's probably my favourite album and one of the most stunning debuts ever, especially considering her age when she wrote most of these songs.

Thanks Mark,

I have quite a bit of the Couteau Twins but not all their works though will have eventually they are so original there is nothing quite like them. So there are people who "don't get them" how queer as they say they must be tone death Smile.

I have been back on forth with regard to Cat Stevens/Yusaf Islam since his "religious" album (Footsteps in the light); I was concerned that he had prioritised his beliefs over his music but this new album has allowed me to focus on his extraordinary songwriting and vocal talents which are without question.

I have to say that I'm blown away that Yusaf is still enjoying 'the power and beauty of his youth' at his age.

I felt the same for a long time and only recently started to listen to his music again, I don't have the new one yet.
