NAP 180 NSW (non-specific weirdness)

Posted by: Will_Dias on 24 June 2003

The other evening I returned to my system, having bedded the sprogs to find that the LH channel was silent. I checked the back of the speakers, OK, I checked on >1 source, all the same. I then turned it all off (except the NAPSC) and left it for 5 minutes. When powered back up, everything was fine, and has been since. I have never come across this phenomenon before, has anybody else? Does anybody with a better understanding of electronics than me have a possible explanation?

Thanks,

Will.

Hi Will,

Did you unplug anything?

Me too

Mine did that the other day as well (82/180). I thought it may have been a brown-out causing a muting relay to mute, but muting and un-muting a few times did not seem to fix it, so this may not be the answer.
As you said, powering down for a few minutes seemed to sort it out.

Darren,

I unplugged my 180 & the CDX from the mains.

I didn't touch anything else.
