Are these guys the new Air?

Anybody been to see them on their current UK tour?

They use similar amplification to someone I know quite well.

I've not heard of these guys, but it sure is a cool site, P.

Rico - all your base are belong to us.

PS - oh wow, they even have MP3's on site. This seems like a good excuse to try out my new download manager, and give my soundcard a run through it's paces - having just installed the drivers after 4 mute months in front of the monitor (the SBL's have had some influence on this, I confess). wink

Glad you liked it Rico

Thanks for the reply and hope your MP3s sound OK

They sound rather spiffy on a CDS2 too BTW

I finally got round to buying Bridge & Tunnel's Without Ghosts album over the weekend. I can see the similarities with Air mentioned above, but B&T keep things far more stripped down and minimal. There is a far stronger post rock feel here than anything Air have produced. I would say they have similarities with Tortoise, Fridge, and possibly Appliance. Based on the two or three plays I have managed to give it so far I really like this album. Quirky but nicely understated.
