Av2 & Philips Pronto

Hi all,

Can anyone help with this one please.

I am programming my Pronto RU950 Remote control and have run into a problem with the AV2.

The Pronto will not learn the code for the input select command. The code it learns is almost identical in HEX terms to the Mode command and actually executes the Mode command. I have also used the Input Select command, for the Naim pre-amp, from the in-built database - this also operates the Mode command on the AV2.

Any ideas? I have tried all the usual tricks re learning. There is also nothing at Remotecentral.com.

If anyone has a PCF config file with the code or could paste the hex code it would be very much appreciated.

PS. Has anyone solved the standby press+hold problem. I can get it to work 90% of the time but a better fix would be great. Naim - any chance of modifying the software?

Give me you adress in the PT, i send you the codes.
Everything works well including the stand-by.
You'll need the last version of Pronto Edit to works with the AV2 as older versions are unable to programm volume control and stand-by.
All commands are almost identical in Hex except the last 4 digits.

I've got a working Pronto file for the AV2 at present, if you send me a PT, I'll email the ccf file across to you. I've also uploaded my file onto remotecentral.com so if anyone else needs it they can just search there for it.

Manu - Could you send me your hex codes also ? I'm wondering if you've managed to get proper hex codes that allow me to turn the unit on and off with a single button press (so it can be incorporated into macros). Holding it down doesn't really work. I agree with Ian, that a change in the AV2 software so that you don't need to hold the button down would be a godsend to us Pronto owners !
