The Drowning Pool record is pretty good. These guys have been around for years on the Texas scene but don't seem to have made many (any?) albums. Like Tool but with far better guitar riffs (Tool's guitar riffs are dreadful, IMHO, although slightly improved of late). A bit too slick production-wise, however.

Uberjam is "nice". Very bottom-heavy bass on most tracks, which veers on being overdone but is good for shaking the house. This feels like an album that was mixed on mini-monitors ("give it more bass, I still can't hear it") However, after 3 or 4 hearings it still hasn't really grabbed me.

Don't know the others -- let us know what you think
