It is indeed Dusty Springfield.
You can get the track on the fantastic compilation "Music From The Legendary Hotel Pelirocco".
Other fab tracks inclde Fox's "S-single Bed" and Primal Scream's "Autobahn 66". Other featured artists include Climax Blues Band, Minnie Riperton, Dexy's, Kenny Rogers, etc, etc.
Best compilatio of the year so far, methinks, along with the "Kill Bill" OST.

O/T, but I used to live on the same square as the Pelirocco. If they are referring to the quantity of the dog shit outside, it truly is 'legendary'.
