Have you found that leaving the Linn Lingo on Makes your Naim CD 5 sound Brighter?

I find that I have to turn off my Lingo when I do serious CD Listening. Otherwise, things sound bright/hard. Have you found the same thing? If so, what is your solution since turning the Lingo on/off is a pain as my listening is split between CD/LP. Thanks.

Lingo has a switch mode power supply which polutes the mains supply to your CD5. This is an old problem which is solved by simply unplugging your Lingo when you do CD listening.

Of course, you could always upgrade to an Arrmageddon PS for your LP12

I also find my Lingo causes no problems with the rest of the system (CD5 included).

Over the years I have had 3 lingo's (due to being burgled) the oldest being a very early (serial number 40 something) model, another in about 93/94 and the most recent last year.

None of them caused any noticable degridation of the sound when plugged in.
