N-vi remote problem

Does the open button on the front of the n-Vi still work?

Have you tried resetting the remote? No idea why it would only affect the Open button but whenever I have RC problems I just reset the remote according to the FAQs and then it works again.

Greenalex, Had already tried the resetting the remote as stated in the manual, phoned naim but they were busy, phoned rayleigh hi fi no help at all,phoned there southend branch person was more than helpfull he phoned naim and got back to me within 10 mins, turns out had to re-set on the N-vi as well as the remote, so wrote down instructions for future referance.

Never had to do both, so didn't think of it, but both are described in the FAQ section of this forum. I didn't mean the manual

I had another problem with the nVi remote control. When I wanted to flict through the options on a DVD being played, pressing up and down didn't change the track or option on the DVD menu, but it started changing the nVi settings from Digital 1, Digital 2, Digital 3 and so on!!

This was very frustrating, but I found that turning the nVi off then on again appears to have reset it!!

Consciousmess, although i only stated the tray would not open mine was also doing the same as you describe, i tried turning on and off but it made no differance, untill it was re-set on the remote and the N-vi
