power cut...

just had a power cut in our street. all is OK though. phew. but, as a matter of interest, what are the risks of equipment being damaged when this happens? i.e. what causes the damage? i recall reading a posting from someone who had had power cut and his equipment needed attention afterwards

Tunbridge Wells' electricity supply often seems to be attached via a bungee rope. I frequently come home to the baleful blinking of the video clock. System's survived so far...

many thanks tom. two of my components are at naim right now for some attention --- the thought of another problem caused by a power cut would have broken the camels back...
