Speaker position

I know this has been done to death,but recent SBL threads finally encouraged me to change speaker positon.Of course I tried to do it without breaking the silicone seal on the gasket,but pulled on the wrong place when trying a new position.Anyway,I moved them closer together[1.5m apart] and they are now in a more symmetrical position relative to the side walls of the room.
Big difference.Speakers seem to be working together now and sounding far more musical and coherant.
Was worth making a few more holes in the carpet with cross-headed screws and practicing skill with Naims continental-no-English-instructions- sealant.
