You didn't think I'd forget, did you?!!!
England have been making heavy weather to start off with against Bermuda, but it should all be over soon.

Another one! Former Irish Cricket Union president and chairman Bob Kerr has died of a suspected heart attack in Jamaica.

So England are through to the last 8, no surprise really but the game of the day was Australia v South Africa. These are the two best one day teams in the world and I thought at one stage that we were going to get a repeat of the fantastic record-breaking game from March last year. If these two make the final it would not be a disappointment.

A good result against world cricket power Ireland today. That was a sound thrashing indeed. 48 runs. Roughly the same as the points gap between Ireland and England at the Six Nations match at Croke Park a few weeks ago!

Come on Mark!
"A wins a win" as they say - against the team that beat Pakistan. After the pathetic performances of the national football team I'll take any shred of success from our cricketers. Although it won't last long.

Come on, James, I can't see Wasps winning by that margin........30-35 points, maybe!

LOL - well you've got to laugh, haven't you!
When the month of the match arrives, the wagers should begin - though really I'm too decent to get you to pay for my 82's service...

"There's only one Freddie Flintoff" - and he should now bat at No.10, one above Michael Vaughan!!

Ravi Bopara didn't bother the scorers - we're in trouble.

Yes - well done Paul and Paul - that's Collingwood and Nixon, as they steered us to victory. We're getting better all the time and I think we can still win this

Ah, the triumph of hope over experience... such a refreshing quality ... and, undoubtedly, honed on the terraces of Portman Road...

James, Mark
I was inspired by the film Escape To Victory and the immortal words of Russell Osman as they are offered the road to freedom down the escape tunnel at half-time in the Allies vs Germans match (which we were losing 4-1) escape? but we can win this!.

From world cup website: "After the Aussie pacers bundled out Ireland for a paltry 91, the batsmen butchered the Irish attack to notch up victory in 12.2 overs at the Kensington Oval."
That's how you deal with part-timers. Mark, I'm dusting off the shark for an imminent posting
