I also have and thoroughly recommend this greatest hits type album
Many Best of collection miss out on her excellent songs with the Pet Shop Boys (which I think is a Scandal), but this one has the lot ... so just close your eyes and count to ten and enjoy this.

It's not Dusty, but you may also enjoy this album - it is in the same vein and excellent IMHO

Well this is very strange that no one has this on vinyl and no one to comment on. Says it all really.

Hi Jim
I used to have it on vinyl, but that was a long time ago - I don't have it now to compare with the deluxe CD - but irrespective of format Dusty In Memphis is one of the great records.

Along the lines of the Chips Moman produced Pet Clark Memphis album is "Cameo" by Dusty Springfield. It also has that cool Memphis sound. But there is nothing better that Dusty in Memphis. One of my all time favorites.

RE recommendations for Dusty. Having just about every album she ever made I'd recommend some of the less well known CD's which are currently very cheap online.
White Heat. Made when she was at her lowest ebb, this is possibly her most daring and confessional album .
Cameo. As Dusty stared into the abyss of drink and drugs dependency, this beautiful collection remains one of her best and underrated efforts, albeit with the worst cover ever.
From Dusty....with love. Dusty's follow up to Memphis, this time she swaps southern soul for early Philly soul.
See all her Faces. Last UK album until Reputation. A mixed bag culled from different sessions with the highlight being "Crumbs off the table". Dusty does hard rock!!
Reputation. In places as good as anything as Dusty has ever done. The pairing of Dusty and Pet Shop Boys is a marriage made in heaven.
Avoid - It begins again and Living without your love. Beautifully produced as always but safe and predictable and frankly rather dull.
Enjoy.
Andrew.

Should be on Amazon although they may have been recently deleted, or play.com. They were rereleased and remastered in 2002. I saw them cheaply online very recently.
