I seem to remember that a great deal was made of the fact that the UK and the continental stuff were intended for slightly different mains voltages.
Now that both are at 230 V (more or less), do Naim still fit different versions of mains transformers into their boxes? And if not, since when? Might be useful to know when thinking about importing from the UK.
Anyone official care to comment?

Thanks, we do work on 220 volts.
But I have now come to wonder if we have the same plugs ?

If you order from a UK dealer then get them to check with Naim and ask for the correct accesories pack.
I have just bought a CDX2 for use here in Switzerland from AudioT in Basingstoke, UK who used to be my local dealer.
It cost £33 to have it FedEx'd.

Changing the mains plug is dead easy though - just chop the end off and whack a 2-pin on it. (Earth goes through another connection)
As an englishman living in the Netherlands I have 2 comments.
1) Whack a 2 pin plug on BUT be carefull about the "polarity". Since you can reverse the way you plug it into the mains you can also reverse the polarity of the supply. Basically you should plug all your HiFi gear in with the same and correct polarity, which can be checked with a polarity tester.
2) The "earth goes through another connection" BUT where?
I am trying to get rid of hum problems and have experimented with a few earth points without success. So where to earth? especially when other makes of equipment are part of the system which do not have a direct earth connection but leave their chassis floating.
Any advice on this is welcome.
