EBay Sellers from UK

Lots of Naim gear on EBay overnight at attractive buy it now prices. Anybody know this guy? He wants to transfer funds via Western Union which is like sending him cash and hoping for the best. Unless you know him.
BTW, if something is 230 v, I presume that it is a major project to convert to 120 v for US correct? However a CDS2 or CDS3 would work regardless because the external power supply would govern. Is this correct?
Thanks for the help. (Hope this post does not step on the rules. I have nothing for sale, just looking to snag a bargain.)

Personally i wouldnt touch any of it with a barge pole. Anything that suggests emailing an address rather than using the 'Ask the seller a question' is suspect to me.
Others may have a different view. He is selling 732 different items!! Most of the bids he has are 'user id kept private' which doesnt instill confidence. Very few bids on any of his items. I would report it if i could remember how to.
yeah right!Hope this helps

Also using Western transfer funds is dodgy when he has paypal on screen and is sadly often used by scamsters. Avoid.

This is an obvious scam. The ID has been hijacked, look at the feedback and the items this vendor sold, none of them are High-end HiFi. Also, the bids for the NAC 282 are outragious! $14000 for the preamp with bidder id's hidden! Stay away from this one!

Very long bargepole required.

No kidding! Thanks. I guess when everything from a full CDS2 to a pre-power amp combination can be had for the same 700 GBP buy it now, that should be a clue.
BTW, is it at all possible to convert this gear to 110 from 230 v? I see lots more used 230 v gear on Ebay and some even on Audiogon. If it made sense for Naim-Chicago to adjust a few dip switches, I might get tempted. If it costs more than, say, the 700 GBP buy it now, it makes no sense.
There is no dealer within 300 miles of where I live, so I pay more attention to the s/h market.

Yes it is. It's a bit more than a few dip switches though.
All of my kit was converted to 115v from 230v when I came to the US.

A sure sign it's a con. Don't go near it. You may want to report it to Ebay as they actively discourage this.
