Something is definitely wrong here......(?)

I am listening to my system for the last time before I dismantle it and box it to go down to Jonathan Ribee's place, later today.
I've actually sat through two whole albums without coming back to this bloody forum!
The only problem is, it's the middle of the night (2 am) and the sound is not exactly blowing my socks off confused
It's not timing as it should, the tune isn't there. Maybe it's just me, I'm in a bad mood or something...
So, I shrug it off and raid my CD collection for suitable discs to take with me on the 150 mile trek to "Old Hampshire."
Paul Van Dyke - yes, I'll take that!
Dina Carroll - why not?
The Beegees' latest - yeah, it's an HDCD that one, music's ok too!
Britney Spears... Aqua...? I think I'd better leave these at home!
Nanci Griffith and Mary Chapin Carpenter - I know that Jonathan doesn't like country, but maybe I can *educate* him in the way that he can me with jazz! smile In any case Paul Darwin likes MCC, so that must be an endorsement of my tastes big grin
Ah, what's this, Densen D Magic?
I think I'll give this a quick spin, and take it with me.
Three minutes later, my teeth about to fall out razz ,
I try another music CD...
Aaah, blissss!
The timing is back, as is the tune.
Time to crack open a can of Budvar cool , smoke a fag or two - but no smoking in the listening room (!) to get me ready for sleeping. I have a long drive ahead of me. smile smile

It's always a nice day for it, have a good one wink

With the exception of the Geri Halliwell, I've got all of those CDs. I can't believe you paid 14.99 for a chart CD - you must live in London!
Anyway, I must dash - I shouldn't even be here!

Unfortunately, my wife likes pop. Fortunately, she doesn't like pre-teen pop, so we have no Brittney Spears, Backdoor Boys, et al. It also seems that she's grown out of her Cher phase, but now she's onto 80's one hit wonders. Oh well...

We've known for quite sometime now that there is indeed something very wrong.. Thought that you'd have worked it out by now. But hey ! nevermind. All good things come to those that.....

Anyway, I'm sure we've not heard the last of it.

The saga continues.

Much later

I guess what you are refering to is my choice of amplification. Without wishing to plug Densen - another manufacturer of amplifiers offering that involving sound many of us want to hear that Naim also offers, I like the Densen amps because they do the PR&T and tune thing, but in addition they do Watts as well!
They go bloody loud!
Naim make the best CD players in the world, IMHO, and I intend eventually to go all the way up to the CDS2. Source first, thank you very much!
Oh, I also like NACA5 and Credos.
Forced to choose a single manufacturer for absolutely everything, I would choose Naim, but unfortunately, my individualistic nature compels me to explore the various methods of cat-skinning! big grin
