New epithet for Naim Forum

Posted by: Don Phillips on 01 May 2008

Hi folks
This is not a very serious thread, but it is drab in York today and we are all no doubt a bit blue because we will have to wait a bit longer to get our hands on a Powerline.

However, instead of "You're nobody without a Naim", how about "Where everybody knows you're Naim".

Cheers

Don

No, I meant "you're". As in "you are a disciple of Naim".
Posted on: 01 May 2008 by pcstockton
Pedantry? Is that a word? If so it is fully self embodying...
well done. best laugh Ive had all day.

and Don??? what???

so you mean "you're A naim"

PC,

Not to belabor the point, but as hungryhalibut points out, Don's original slogan is quite clever because it's borrowed from the theme song of "Cheers," the most popular sitcom of the 80's. As for "You're Naim," it's identical to the phrasing of "I'm Mac, he's PC." Like you?

"Where those you tell off-Forum (because normally you keep it secret it the hope of security) knows your name."

Apart from Chris Kelly (and one or two others) who are very up front with their identity.

Here's a great justification for spending vast sums of money on Naim:

"A good Naim is to be chosen rather than great riches...." Proverbs 22:1
