Photography around Westminster early on a Sunday.

Posted by: Tony Lockhart on 10 May 2008

I'm going to try and go down to London tomorrow, very early, to take some photographs.
I understand that on a Sunday neither the congestion charge nor parking meters are in operation. However, is there any free parking available within easy walking distance of Westminster Square?

Thanks

Tony

Walking around Westminster very early in the morning taking photos - be careful you don't get shot.

No congestion charge,
but the parking meters are active in some areas (e.g. Kensington near the museums),
so watch out Tony!

PARK-UP might provide the information you need.

I think I might go to Cambridge instead! I really don't feel like putting the effort in and then maybe getting towed away or fined because I misunderstood.

Thanks anyway

Make sure you get there early enough to take the Cam going through the Backs whilst still misty - and, of course, "in Lilac time..."
