It's alright he's an 'investigative TV journalist' I'm told.

FRISBY,
He is responcible for the brilliant program that goes out,or whent out on Ch4,"The Mark Thomas Product" well worth catching if you can. Amoungst other things he and his team were responcible for was the change in the Income Tax laws, that allowed the wealthy/sucessive Goverment Ministers to buy artifacts/antiques that could be discribed as having public interest ,then haveing the cost of the artifact set of against their tax liability as they agreed with the Inland Revenue that they would put the artifacts on show to the public, at a timeing of their own choosing, but because of the Income Tax laws anonymity clauses, they didn't have to tell anyone when they intended putting them on show. Fatty Soams was one of the rats M.T. caught out. Another exposay was the fact that the Church of England had shares in it's portfollo for Vickers the well known Arms manufacture. The list of that mans achievements in exposing coruption and the fiddles that the establishment would rather we didn't find out about is endless
If anyone deserves a medal for achievements for humanity imo Mark Thomas certainly does.

I remembered some escapades involving a tank in London so refreshed my memory using Google.
He turned up at a cabinet minister's home at 7am driving the tank, to ask what was the best way to export it to Iraq. He also tried to take the tank through a McDonald's drive thru.
Some of his stuff was just genius.

His 'lectures' for the OU/BBC4 are excellent but his political commentary is so shallow that one wonders how much input he has into his good stuff.

TomK,
The Tank was one of Vickers products I think it was a Scorpian, and it was parked and paraded out side the Church of Englands head quarters[Lambeth Palace], much to the embarrisment of the occupiers. Who then very quickly arranged to drop the Vickers shares from their portfollo.
