Alabama 3, and "Power In The Blood"

Has anyone listened to this album and/or this group on One Little Indian?
I've heard a few tracks on the radio, and it sounds like early Beck (twangy and hickabilly one minute, scratches the next).
What's their story?

Didn't they cover 'Born Under a Bad Sign' for the Sopranos music?

I think you're referring to "Woke Up This Morning" for The Sopranos (I never heard it).
I've found someone describing them as "funky acid house country music". Hmmm.

Have all 3 of their cds, saw them live a few yrs ago, they were totally mad but very good.
Their albums are extremely patchy
"Ain't Goi to Goa" & "Woke up This Mornin'" off the 1st album are essential tracks, so if you don't really like them don't bother with the album.
If u then don't like the 1st album Exile On Coldharbour Lane don't even bother with the other 2, La Peste and Power In The Blood

Alex, if A3 aren't good enough for you, they aren't good enough for me. Onward!
I have way too many albums on my wish list to make an exception for "patchy".
